The Character FX Artist is responsible for simulating cloth, hair, fur.
He works closely with CG-supervisor, FX Supervisor and Technical Directors to determine the best creative approaches and techniques.
The CFX Artist will use Rainbow Houdini CFX pipeline and toolsets in order to create simpler set-ups as well as simulate various CFX in shot production.
He works with the FX Supervisor and Technical Directors to implement solutions adoptable by the whole team across multiple projects, assets, and platforms
Communicate with the Modeling team to ensure that the models are suitable for simulation
Prototype and implement new solutions, following the standard of our pipeline and contributing to its maintenance
Excellent knowledge of Houdini
Excellent knowledge of Maya
Previous experience on dynamic simulation: cloth, hair/fur, etc.
Meet delivery deadlines under production constraints
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Good communication skills
High-level attention to details
