Mia and Me is a Rainbow S.r.l and Hahn & M4E production, in partnership with ZDF German Television Network and RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana. Rainbow CGI was responsible for the 3D animation.

The second season counted 26 episodes, created by Gerhard Hahn, which aired for the first time on Rai Gulp from April 5, 2015 to September 24 2015. It is still airing on many international channels.

The first season was distributed in 50 countries and was awarded for the best animated series for children at the 19th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film in 2012, and at the Licensing Challenge Award in Cannes’ Mipcom in 2010.
